1850s Chest of Drawers

Antique “Bonnet Chest” estimated date around 1850. This walnut chest has been completely refinished. Deep and roomy drawers the fronts are solid walnut. A true craftsman made. I went over the entire piece wanting to keep its character but updated the old finish. It still has some of its original nails. I stripped to bare wood and wiped on a walnut stain, finished with a topcoat. The entire tired old wood on this chest was has been refreshed with linseed oil. This piece is in great condition for its 170+years. Although it is solid wood it is easily moved with the drawers out.
