We are selling our male dog. His name is Kona and he was born April 25th, 2023, which makes him 1½ years old. We believe he is a lab mixed with an English pointer, but can't confirm. He is a medium sized dog and won't get bigger. He weighs 40lbs. He comes with his first shot and is neutered.

He is house trained, meaning he'll boop you on the arm or leg if he needs to go to the bathroom. He knows the commands to sit, lie down, stay, waiting, kennel, go lie down on your cushion, leave it, and let's go outside, and knows fetch to some degree. Kona is stroller trained, meaning he walks with his leash attached to the stroller. It wouldn't take much to get him used to walking with a leash to a human. He is amazing with children as we have a one year in the house. He is very protective of her, and is currently teaching her to throw the ball for him. He loves late evening cuddles on the couch, though if it gets too late he will let you know that he wants to go sleep in his kennel. Kona is cat friendly, maybe too much sometimes. He absolutely adores other dog friends but is very hesitant about meeting people.

Our reason for selling Kona is his anxiety. We got him at six months old and he was a scared and skittish little pup. He improved over time but he still isn't at a point where we can continuously put the energy into him as he needs. He does really well with other dogs, and with living in town we can't exercise him as often as he would probably need it, making us think he'd like a nice home with lots of space to run. We think that more running space would help him a lot with his anxiety too. He gets anxious when meeting people even if they aren't new anymore. He seems to only view our little family as safe people, and trusts no one else, so having him adjust to a new family would take a bit of time. He also panics if you scold him, though he's gotten much better. This makes for a very obedient dog too.
